This is a free salary and hourly pay calculator. It asks little of you, and this page lays out the detail.

The short version

The maths runs in your browser, on your device. The pay figures you enter stay there, never reaching us, and there is no account to open. Your salary is your business, not ours.

What the server records

Only the standard request line a host keeps: an IP address, the page and time, your browser's user-agent, and any referring link. It keeps the site up and helps catch abuse, holds no name, and is cleared within about a month.

Cookies and traffic

Block cookies and the calculator still works, as it needs none. Anything set only keeps the page working or holds a preference, and any traffic count is by totals, not individuals.

Ads

For now the site carries no third-party ads. Should any join later, they could set cookies and see your IP, so we would name them and link their policies first.

Your rights

You can decline non-essential cookies. Under laws like the GDPR or CCPA you may ask what personal data we hold and have it deleted; since we keep no profiles, there is usually nothing on file, but do ask.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS and is kept up to date. No site is perfectly secure, but we hold almost nothing to protect, least of all your salary.

Children

This is a general-audience tool for people working out pay, and it is not built to collect data from children under 13, which it does not knowingly do.

Changes

We post revisions here with the date refreshed, and flag anything significant rather than sliding it in.
